The Crawleys Hit Croatia :-)

At the end of May we went sun seeking, this time to the beautiful island of Hvar, on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia – it was bliss! Even the rain on arrival didn’t dampen our spiritsBoth of us can’t sing Hvar’s praises enough … it was mezzin’! Getting the ferry from Split over to Hvar. In the rain First sight of the island The spectacular view from our balcony! My mum and step-dad joined us out there for the first few days, before they went off island hopping Boozy lunch Our favourite beach … mustaco’s Hvar has the most incredible ice cream! I think because it’s just across the water from Italy, the gelato has most definitely been welcomed with open arms The family tradition of whist!! We won’t say who won Our last meal as a foursome … The beautiful castle on top of the hill lit up … The most incredible restaurant with a whole indoor garden and orange trees, with the juiciest oranges hanging down above you A very long (and slightly sweaty!) walk up a mahoosive hill to the castle gave us the most impressive view of Hvar town … My attempt at portraits A bit of a walk around the coast we found this amazing, funky bar where yu got the most incredible views of the sunset … it was just jaw-dropping. Peka … a traditional Croatian lamb dish where the meat is cooked for 12 hours … I know this shot is blurry but I LOVE IT! Full moon, slightly tipsy and sun drunk Some more portraits of Liam … this time in Starigrad – a beautiful, sleepy town the other side of the coast. The coldest water you’ve ever experienced!
